Kids Fingerprinting program

Leading LEEP’s “Kids Fingerprinting” program is Monroe PD veteran Sgt. Tom Jenkins. Jenkins is an instructor at Macomb Community College Police Academy and MCOLES. He also travels as a TIPS Alcohol Management instructor responsible for live presentations for LEEP throughout Michigan and northern Ohio.

“Kids Fingerprinting,” available through the “Kids, Don’t Go With Strangers” project, provides parents with a free CD Rom that includes the child’s digital photograph, fingerprints, height, weight and other pertinent information.

This CD can be used by police and the Amber Alert system to help bring missing children home safely.

“Kids Fingerprinting” is only available locally (in Michigan) at this time due to travel expenses. To schedule a “Kids Fingerprinting” school or community event, please call the LEEP Program Office toll-free at (800) 451-1220.
